Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the hape of the device that can be hugged in a public place such as a waiting room of a hospital based on the

impression of the subject. We investigated to develop a device that can measure vital signs by hugging. In this paper, we examined shape elements that tend to hinder the act of hugging as visual information. Six sets of models that change from human body shape to abstract shape in three stages by 3DCG were evaluated. As a result, it was found that the shape of the human body produces negative emotions such as disgust and shame in the act of hugging, depending on the surrounding environment and the object to be hugged.
