Abstract

Kyo-mei is a project that examines society through the traditional Japanese percussion instrument, Hyoushigi. By delving into the meaning of this very simple experience of listening to a single sound produced by touching two pieces of clappers together and tasting the texture of the sound from one's hands, the project aims to create an opportunity to confront various issues in our social life through the essence of sound.
