The Effect of Different Skill Levels on The Coloring Process in Digital Illustration Production

Abstract

Color expression leads to the attractiveness of illustrations. Therefore, effective color expression is required based on systematic knowledge and the tacit knowledge of the creator, but it is difficult for beginners. So, we examined the difference between beginners and experts in the coloring process using digital tools. As a result, beginners lack knowledge of color and awareness of perfection. This showed that the differences in the coloring process prevented beginners from creating attractive expressions.
