Abstract

In this paper, we discuss a practical case of a workshop for creating a design concept for a new service that incorporates anthropological perspectives. By switching back and forth between the two positions of "we" and "customer," the workshop can provide the anthropological experience like "making the strange familiar and the familiar strange”. In order for design anthropologists to collaborate with designers and stakeholders, a workshop approach could be used to engage in the design process.
