Development of a Design Model Based on the Premise of Endless Exploration of Goodness

Abstract

In this paper, we propose the Dual-Cycle Model in the form of an extension of a typical design model, the Double-Diamond Model, in order to show the essence of design as iterative, nonlinear, and endless exploration. We organize that design is a co-creative knowledge creation consisting of cycles on two loops, "the loop of exploring what is good" and "the loop of embodying what is good" and expresses this activity as a model in combination with the the SECI model.
