Relationships Between Elements of Creativity and Critical Thinking Attitudes

Abstract

Since designers must possess two different skills and attributes, creativity and critical thinking, a study was carried out into their relationship. Although the analysis did not yield multiple regressions, there were several positive correlations between the two items to some extent. However, there was no relationship between creativity 'originality' and critical thinking 'objectivity' with any of the other items. These results suggest that "originality" affecting the quality of design thinking outcomes is not related to critical thinking attitude, although they are not fundamentally contradictory.
