Design of plastic containers easily identifiable by terahertz waves

Abstract

The best method for recycling has not yet been established, and most PET lunchbox containers are disposed of. Recently, various recycling methods have been proposed due to advances in technology. In this study, we examine the shape of plastic containers that can be easily sorted using terahertz waves. We irradiate various containers with terahertz waves, and based on the results of discrimination rates, we propose a shape of container that is easy to identify by terahertz waves.
