We designed and prototyped the data physicalization system DDrPP02 (Data Dressing and Prompted Physicality #02), which enables physical interaction with data by using magnets. We adjusted the strength of the magnetic force by changing the relative positions of magnets according to the sizes of the data values, thereby altering the tactile feedback perceived by users. DDrPP02 is equipped with iPad interface for controlling the physical mechanism and providing visual information about the data. We conducted user observation experiments with three participants to validate usability and reflect on the user experience.
