Use of AR Technology in Citizen Workshops for Park Utilization

Abstract

In workshops for community development, it is difficult to organize the opinions of diverse participants. This research aims to share images among participants by using Augmented Reality (AR) technology, which displays AR objects created based on participants' ideas together with real space.

The authors used AR in a citizen participation workshop aimed at planning an event in a park. As a result, participants were able to specifically discuss among themselves the layout of supplies needed to hold the event.
