Embodied Cognition Research on the Process of Improvement in the Creation of Illustrations

Abstract

This study analyzes the first author’s worknote of his thoughts and actions during the illustration creating process, and reveals the design knowledge that is involved in his illustration improvement. We interactively analyzed the descriptions in his work note and discovered his motivations, which he himself was unaware of, and that this influenced the guidelines for choosing the direction of expression when creating his illustrations.
