Design of a device aimed at promoting conscious listening to ordinary sounds

Abstract

I designed a device incorporating foley sound techniques, commonly used in video production and game sound design, to encourage intentional listening to ordinaly sounds. The first device designed, "Onbikyo," is a device aimed at promoting intentional listening to everyday sounds through analytical differentiation of sound variations. The second device designed, "Hityouki," adds the goal of introducing participants to foley sound techniques in addition to the concept of promoting intentional listening to everyday sounds through analytical differentiation.
