Abstract
This study examined how appearance animations affect the impression of music videos.Experiment 1 analyzed 20 videos, focusing on “music,” “movement style,” and “appearance time.” The results showed that each piece had suitable “movement styles” and “appearance times,” and that the impression of music was related to “intensity/serenity.”Experiment 2 analyzed 15 videos to examine how “movement style” and “lyrics display timing” affect “displacement” and “discomfort.” The results indicated a strong correlation between displacement and discomfort, with animation presence influencing how these factors were perceived.
