Abstract

Madagascar is an island in the south part of Africa. It has a craft industry rich in culture and history. It has been admitted that the craft industry has several potentials including poverty reduction and regional development. However, these potentials are nowhere to be seen. In addition, the industry is highly informal, and many craftsmen struggle to earn a living. Therefore, the author would like to investigate the challenges faced by the craft industry in Madagascar.
