Abstract
This study explores the use of Web AR technology in designing smart poles—multifunctional urban street furniture equipped with communication tools, sensors, and digital signage. Due to their size and complexity, design reviews are often challenging. By creating a 3D model viewable via web browsers, the study enabled users to visualize the smart pole’s appearance and scale. 10 participants confirmed improved spatial understanding through VR, though issues remained with color and texture perception. Web AR allows flexible, device-independent, and remote collaborative reviews.
