Abstract
This study proposes a sustainable design to revitalize Higashi-Azuma Main Street by enhancing comfort and community engagement. Research identified a lack of unity as a key issue, leading to three initiatives: (1) visual branding, (2) spatial unity, and (3) mechanisms to strengthen local connections. Collaborating with merchant association leaders, organizational principles and activity guidelines were developed to encourage active participation. Additionally, specific design proposals were made to further develop Azuma Terrace, the community’s commercial district, as a lively and inclusive space.
