Proposals to improve the decoration of medical equipment for users of hospitals and nursing homes

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore new decorative expressions of colors and patterns that are less stressful for patients, focusing on "medical devices that patients themselves use on a daily basis.

To this end, the characteristics and trends of colors and patterns used in medical devices were clarified through surveys. We also examined appropriate design methods for medical device decoration based on previous research, and incorporated design concepts not found in conventional medical devices.
