Abstract

The action of tearing perforations usually requires the use of both hands, making it difficult to tear with only one hand. Therefore, we aim to devise the shape of perforations that are easier to use for healthy individuals, the elderly, and people with disabilities. The purpose of this study is to extract design requirements for easily tearable perforations using behavioral observation methods and strength evaluation of perforations, as employed in the human-centered design process.
