Abstract

This study examines community-based initiatives at the Ichihara History Museum involving museum staff and local residents in the acquisition, preservation, and utilization of cultural assets. Activities included full-scale replica production, 3D data acquisition, and hands-on 3D creation. These practices fostered active public participation, leading to the emergence of new stakeholders in cultural heritage sharing. The results suggest that such efforts represent an important step toward sustainable cultural engagement and future collaboration between museums and local communities.
