Discovery of the potentials in the world when everyone designs

Abstract

In the process of creating goods in everyday life by about 300 college students, we found that many students’ views of the world were transformed from more isolated and fixed ones to more connected and fluid ones. We could characterize the nature of the transformation with the joy of discovering the potentials of change in the world through the processes of their creative re-designing of lifeworld. We discuss implications toward convivial societies in which everyone could creatively co-design our daily lives.
