Abstract

This study analyzes 15 morphological ratios of 48 U-shaped nigiri scissors. While internal functional parts show no correlation with classical proportions, the "total length to handle length" ratio exhibits a significant approximation to the golden ratio. Notably, this ratio possesses the lowest standard deviation, indicating remarkable stability across samples. The results suggest a dual-layer design: internal parts are optimized for function, while the overall framework strictly adheres to aesthetic standards, embodying a sophisticated "beauty of utility."
