Abstract

This study develops a VR-based methodology to evaluate "easy-to-understand sign design" for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, for whom field studies often pose significant burdens. Using Matterport, we created a high-fidelity 3D model of the Hakata Station concourse. We implemented a system in Unity to dynamically swap sign designs as visual stimuli. By integrating eye-tracking with the PICO 4 pro, this research environment enables simultaneous gaze measurement to predict which information participants utilize when making navigational decisions.
