Abstract

What should be design evaluation in the design process was proposed. The following conclusion may be drawn from the results of the inquiry: Our claim that design evaluation is cooperative works and our definition of design evaluation that offers designers necessary information to make all sorts of decision was supported. Our assumption that design evaluation is done in the process from the emanation to the astringency in ideas was recognized in the selection of mock-up models and the discussion of idea sketches. However making design concept as the emanation was not recognized. The new ways of design evaluation not only by the Measure using Fuzzy AHP in the selection of mock-up models but also by the Process using Orthogonal Arrays and Quantitication 1 in the discussion of idea sketches that most of designers recognize as design evaluation were proposed. These ways proved effective in design evaluation by case studies.
