Abstract
This study is a comparative analysis on the image structure based on the familiarity of traditional crafts between Japanese and Korean. Korean image structure on Korean traditional crafts varies around the axes of "pleasant-unpleasant", "elaborate-simple", "bold-plain". Their image structure on Japanese traditional crafts varies around the axes of "elaborate-simple", "pleasant-unpleasant", "bold-plain". When Korean people face to Japanese crafts, their image structure is varied with only the position of representative factors but hold the same factors in their image space. Japanese image structure on Japanese traditional crafts varies around the axes of "light-heavy", "graceful-unstylish", "elaborate-simple". Their image structure on Korean traditional crafts varies around the axes of "quiet-gay", "graceful-unstylish" and "light-heavy". When Japanese people face to Korean crafts, their image structure is varied with the representative factors included in their image space.
