Abstract
This study aims at.quantitatively measuring driver's emotional assessment during automobile operation and clarifying the correlation between driver's physiological responses along with emotional experience and vehicle characteristics. In the experiment each participated driver drove the test car with curvilinear motion along a driving course with 180-degree cornering. The drivers' brain wave data were recorded by [HSK-centered rhythm monitor slim] device. Based on "basic affection vector model", the drivers' comfortableness was decomposed as two dimensions, "valence" and "arousal", and their correlations were analyzed with vehicular performance indicators. This research also serves as an objective evaluation of subjective experiences such as individuals' emotional response to products. We have demonstrated the validity of objective measurement on emotional expressions by using physiological responses accompanying with emotions.
