Abstract

In this paper, we considered the characteristics of the Design-Thinking based on FASE-Model from the viewpoint of cognitive science. As a result, the most characteristic thought process in the FASE-Model is the "Simulation". This process don't need external stimulation. And its mechanism is similar to "As if loop" based on somatic marker hypothesis. Considering from the viewpoint of neuroscience, "As if loop" has important two factors "Integrate and predict information" and "translation into emortional information". And it works without using language function directly. We performed two experiments using different thinking-method for checking the compliance of this theory. Result shows designers are good at thinking without using language function directly.
