Abstract

Vocational colleges of technology (KOSEN) are now facing the challenge for next education. In order to get the specific hints, the investigation that focused on "creativity" was carried out. 1) It was recognized that as economic state, educational policies and social trend in Japan change, the meaning of "creativity" has widely changed and the education to evoke "creativity" has become important increasingly. 2) From the survey that staff of KOSEN and the design course in college of art and department of engineering responded to, it was revealed that the emphasis and educational method for "creativity" are different by each educational institution. This work suggests that the method of design-education is applicable to next education of KOSEN that needs to evoke "creativity" than ever.
