Abstract

In this study, the term "interior design" is defined as "the space which reflects user's needs concerning personality and requests". The objective of this study is to clarify the actual conditions of interior design focusing on LDK space of order-made houses. By conducting case investigation research, recent tendency in interior design was clarified and came typed. Interview survey was conducted to clarify the relationship between characteristics of interior design types and the housing market.
In the case investigation research, recent tendency of interior design was clarified by setting indicators concerns "Property Summary", "Section Composition", "Flat Composition", and "Finishing Material" on 352 cases. Furthermore, from the perspective of "regional mergence with upper stair" and "independency of elevating function", 352 cases were classified to 3 types; "LDK Separated Type", "Seperated/Independent Type", and "Merged/Dependent Type". By the interview survey, it was clarified that each types are influenced by residential demands such as daylighting, importance on personal spaces and communication between family.
