Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics and transition of creative office spaces that include indoor greenery. The increase and decrease in the number of works that include indoor greenery was determined for each decade, and the information on the works was then compiled for each decade for each five-year period. In addition, in order to understand the trend of plant arrangement by space type, we compiled the information by five-year period. In addition, in order to quantitatively understand the characteristics of each space by plant arrangement, the spatial composition, furniture, and finishes of the works including indoor greenery were totaled for each plant arrangement. The characteristics of the spaces including indoor greenery are described below. The number of creative offices that include indoor greenery has been increasing year by year, and it was found that it is often used in spaces related to intellectual activities of knowledge creation. In addition, it was found that each plant arrangement is designed and materials are used in a way that promotes the effect of increased intellectual productivity, mainly by promoting relaxation.
