Abstract
The special consideration is necessary for the pressure calculation of the snow on the slope in warm and snowy areas such as Japan. A periodical check at this issue is necessary so that the changes of snow by the global warming are expected. In this paper we measured the creep and glide pressures onto snow fences on the seven avalanche release slopes in snowy areas and compared with the calculated snow pressures based on the standard of Switzerland. The result of the comparisons is thought that the present method on the basis of the standard of Switzerland is also appropriate in high snow accumulation regions.
