Abstract
We present a case of an intestinal fistula caused by leakage of an ileocolostomy．Despite the application of skin protective agents around the fistula,it was difficult to have the faceplate adhere to the perifistular skin．Discharge from the fistula caused skin erosion,and frequent changes of stoma equipment depreciated the Quality of Life(QOL)of the patient．Treatment using a silicone gel sheet prevented the progression of skin erosion and improved the QOL of the patient,confirming its usefulness in the case of an intestinal fistula．
