The number of smoking area users was counted before and after the COVID-19 pandemic and after the state of emergency was issued at the smoking area attached to Kyoto station. The number of users did not change before and after the pandemic and decreased slightly during the issuance of the state of emergency. Smokers are close to each other, and it was suggested necessary to consider abolishing smoking area.
