Abstract

Although the number of fatalities in traffic accidents in Japan is decreasing year by year, many people are still injured in traffic accidents. The occurrence of traffic accidents when high school students in Gunma Prefecture go to school is a huge problem. The purpose of this study is to clarify the traffic safety awareness of high school students by analyzing the influence of parent-child relationships on traffic safety awareness in high schools in Gunma prefecture. As a result of analysis using questionnaire survey data for high school students, it was clarified that contact between parents and children at home improves the relationship of trust between parents and children, sympathizes with the beliefs of parents, and has a positive effect on improving awareness of life and traffic safety. According to existing research, the problems that the effect of traffic safety education is small and that the effect does not continue have been raised as issues. This study is showed that efforts including the home environment affect life consciousness including traffic safety consciousness.
