Abstract

The introduction of self-driving cars, electric vehicles, and the spread of sharing services is expected to significantly change the automobile usage environment. In order to facilitate smooth transfers between various modes of transportation, it will be necessary to develop transportation hubs that have multiple functions such as transfers and EV charging, in addition to the development of transportation systems that include terminal transportation connecting stations to residential areas. In this study, examples of mobility hubs were organized in order to understand the current status of transportation hubs. And the purpose of this study is to quantitatively evaluate the impact of the placement of transportation hubs on society. As the result of the simulation, it was quantitatively showed that the more transportation hubs are located, the greater the impact of carpooling becomes, and that there is the trade-off relationship among the indicators such as the distance traveled and the cost of installing vehicles.
