Abstract
The time interval from onset to admission (TIOA) is essential for rt-PA therapy. We analyzed the TIOA according to severity (NIHSS), gender, and age groups among 1,044 cerebral infarction (CI) patients in 22 hospitals throughout Japan. The TIOA tended to be longer among the participants with lower NIHSS score. Among those aged < 75 years, the TIOA in women was twice as long as that in men with the lowest NIHSS scores. These results of gender difference in TIOA among mild CI patients should be investigated from both medical and social aspects.
