Abstract
The purpose of the study was to investigate the factors related to the degree of coordination among the rehabilitation professionals, especially for those in the field of vocational rehabilitation for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The sample for the mail survey consisted of 232 service agencies and facilities for intellectual disabilities in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. The results of the multiple regression analysis showed that the variables such as the agency attitudes, number of vocational-related professionals, in-service training, number of hours for learning about coordination, location for coordination, gender, and career explained 48.2% of the degree of professional coordination as the dependent variables. The result also showed that the field of welfare was among the lowest in regards to the agency attitudes, number of vocationalrelated professionals, and location for coordination.
