Abstract
This investigation was undertaken in order to establish a suitable method for a simultaneous determination of pesticides in environmental samples using capillary gas chromatographic-mass spectormetry (GC/MS). In this paper, the basic sets of data obtained by the examination of unit procedure including retention indexes (PTRI) on the three capillary columns, response factors vs. anthracene-d10 as a internal standard and their coefficients of variation, recoveries on pretreatment of GC/MS analysis, adsorption on polyethylene or glass bottle, degradation during storage in darkness at 4°C, and octanol/water partition coefficients were provided and discussed. The linear relationship was observed in the PTRIs between Ultra-1 and Ultra-2 among 129 pesticides (r=0.999). Relative standard deviations for injection of standard solution using six internal standards were almost less thas 10%. Excellent extraction recoveries with dichloromethan were obtained for the pesticides investigated.
