Abstract

An investigation on the amount and characteristics of rubbish in a small agricultural village where food waste disposers were introduced was executed. Results were obtained as showing below. a) as for characteristics of the inflammable rubbish after the using, as for ratio of the garbage 1/10 or less, as for the moisture in approximately half, as for inflammable amount in approximately 1.9 times, as for the lower calorific value it reached approximately 2.4 times, in comparison with the usual collection inflammable rubbish. b) the basic unit with average of the village is 127 g per capita per day (as for non excess probability 75% value 140 g per capita per day). c) the ratio of rubbish loss by the disposer is 31%, varying in the range of the 25%-39%.
