Abstract

We revealed the effects of unit pricing and source separation of plastics packaging wastes with multiple regression analysis. We showed that each existing combination of unit pricing system of plastics packaging wastes, and source separation of them, and unit pricing of other residential wastes had statistically significant effect on residential waste reduction. However the result of Bonferroni's multiple comparison analysis indicated that the uniq effect of unit pricing system of plastics packaging wastes was not significant. Effect of its source separation was not significant when municipalities introduced unit pricing of residential wastes, although it became significant when they did not. However futher research is needed because municipalities with unit pricing system of plastics packaging wastes was few.
