John Crane Japan was founded in 1968 as a joint venture between John Crane（JC）and Starlite Co., Ltd（Japanese Company）．
JC was founded in Chicago, USA in 1917, and is a pioneer manufacturer of mechanical seals that has been in business for over 100 years. John Crane Japan as Japanese corporation has head office factory in Ritto City, Shiga Prefecture, and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. Since our establishment, we have our own manufacturing site, development, technology and quality department in Japan, and have been providing products and services. we have sales offices in Tokyo, Osaka, Chiba and Yokkaichi.
In addition, we have a service center in Chiba since 2015 to offer product proposals and repair services to domestic customers.
In the product group for the paper and pulp industry, Safematic（Finland），which specializes in mechanical seals for paper manufacturing equipment, was joined as a member of the JC Group in 1998.
Under a thorough strategy, JC has kept the top share in Europe and the United States and worked with our customers in order to solve various problems and provide feedback to product development.
