Abstract
This paper is concerned with the mechanism of sulfite process at low temperature, and the results obtained are discussed kinematically.
The results obtained are as follows :
1. Sulfonation, delignification and dissolution of hemi-cellulose of wood by sulfite process obey approximately the law of a first order reaction.
