Abstract

The development of deinking technology has been continued to adapt to the change of waste paper quality, for example, new printing methods, the limitation of water usage and so on.
On the course of the development, Sulzer Escher Wyss, West Germany has made the efforts to offer the new concepts, the high consistency slot-screening, the split-flotation, the disperger bleaching, the combi-bleaching, the back water clarification.
In this paper, the present status and new approach of the important elements for the deinking system are summarized and the modern equipment from Sulzer Escher Wyss are introduced. The future systems are also offered and the trial results of office-waste paper deinking are introduced. A deinking plant with Sulzer Escher Wyss's new concept is in course of construction for the office-waste in Denmark.
