Abstract

Generally, the clothing pressure is measured with the sensor set on the surface of the human body or the dummies. It is not possible to measure the clothing pressure without sewing process. We have developed the technology to simulate the clothing pressure without sewing clothing by using the numerical analysis technique. In this research, the numeric knitting model reported with the previous paper is used, and how to contact clothing pattern with sleeves to the human body model is described. Concretely, a temporary body is existed between the human body model and clothing pattern. After the clothing pattern can be contact to the temporary body, it can be contact the human body model. With this method, the clothing pressure values predicted using this computer simulation proved to be very close to the actually measured values. In this study, we show short-sleeved underwear.
