Abstract
This report theoretically studies the process in which clothes were obtained, kept and scrapped and tries to clarify its relation to the surveyed data.
The theory which was an application of Queuing theory was able to satisfactorily explain the process, by dividing it into two cases. The first case was the non-equilibrium condition which was applied to the students.
The second case was the equilibrium condition which was applied to the adults.
Main results were as follows.
(1) The distribution of obtaining clothes was provided to be Poisson distribution.
(2) In the non-equilibrium condition, an equation to express the number of possessed clothes which varied in years, was introduced. All characteristic values in this equation were calculated from the surveyed data. By means of the statistic test, it was proved that this equation was appropritate to some surveyed data.
(3) By using obtained values and equations, the number of possessed clothes in some years after was forecast.
(4) In the equilibrium condition, the equation was obtained as a special case of non-equilibrium condition. As the application of the results, the life span of the clothes was introduced.
