Pressure ulcer is a disease seen in the elderly and bedridden. Once a pressure ulcers is created, it takes several months to heal. Nutrition management is indispensable to heal chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers. In this research, we examined whether changes were observed in pressure ulcer wound healing conditions, according to the kind of foods they ingested and whether adding zinc, one of the micronutrients reported to have effect on wound healing, was a factor.
