Our rapidly changing society has witnessed a paradigm shift from curative medical systems to supportive healthcare systems. People-centered healthcare systems are a focus considering social diversity as well as sustainable development, which is designed as a new way of addressing issues. The symposium titled "Future Social Transformation: Health Systems and Social Design in the 21st Century" offers an intellectual opportunity to learn from the six guest lecturers to enhance our commitment to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
