Abstract
A 15-year-old spayed female domestic shorthair cat was presented with symptoms of hypoglycemia, including staggering and seizures of several weeks' duration. Insulinoma was suspected, and exploratory laparotomy was performed. Two brown masses were found within the left lobe of the pancreas and resected. The histopathological diagnosis was insulinoma. The cat recovered well after surgery without any medication. Thirty months after surgery, the cat presented again with staggering, seizures, and hypoglycemia. An exploratory laparotomy revealed many white spots on the pancreas. The other abdominal organs appeared normal. Histopathology of the pancreas showed hyperplasia. Three days after the operation, seizures recurred and the cat was euthanized because distant metastasis was suspected.
