Abstract
In order to know fluid dynamical characteristics of artificial reef model quantitatively, computer-processed measurements of fluid velocity field have been applied. This to chnique is based on the 3-dim allocation system of sensor terminal and the post-processor for data analyzing, which receives the velocity data at each point from the sensor. Taking the technique in this study, the effective zone area at the downstream of the reef model is measured, and the information about the origin of scoring in front of artificial reefs is obtained. Generally, concerning with structures in the water more quantitative data of fluid aspect is tend to be required . so that more optimal design can be taken. At this point, this technique gives more useful information through model experiments and dimensional analysis.
