Abstract

A new vacuum gauge whose emitter was made of cold emission carbon nanotube is proposed. Low power consumption, high robustness during launch where severe mechanical vibration is loaded on onboard instruments will be expected by using this gauge. Low out-gassing, compact sizing and easy handling will be the benefits, too. Basic structure and preliminary test results of the nanotube gauge are presented.
