Effect of Oxgyen Content on Penetration Depth in TIG Arc Weld Metal of Ferritic Stainless Steel

Abstract

The effect of aluminum content in ferritic stainless steel plates and the amount of oxygen in shielding gas on the amount of oxygen in TIG weld metal was investigated. Furthermore, it was observed the molten pool action with the high speed camera, and the efffct of oxygen content on the penetration depth is clarified in TIG welding.
