Abstract
Laser-MIG hybrid welding of aluminum alloy has been conducted by setting laser beam and wire separately, conventionally, to avoid interference of laser beam and arc. In this report, the authors reported a method by which laser beam was directly irrated across the wire in order to reduce arc current at a same wire feeding rate.
